Learn more about the founders of Canine Companion
Ambreen Visram
Product Manager/ Electrical Engineer
Ambreen was responsible for the creation of the electrical system for the Canine Companion. This included researching different sensors that could be implemented into the system, creating the circuitry, and testing it. Ambreen also acted as the PM of the group and ensured that the group was on-top of deliverables and facilitated group meetings.

​Outside of school Ambreen enjoys binge watching Netflix, travelling, going on walks and hanging out with her family
Liza Wilson
Mechanical Engineer

Liza was responsible for the mechanical aspect of the project. This included researching the best dispensing mechanisms that should be used with the system, looking at how different dog foods may interfere with certain mechanisms, designing a Solidworks model to depict the entire system, and building the casing for the system.
​
When not in school, Liza enjoys travelling, riding horses, and going skiing in the winter.

Bobby Nguyen
Software Engineer
​
Bobby was largely in-charge of the software aspect of the project. Bobby researched different interaction methods that could be used with the automated dog feeder and how they would interact with the required software for our system. Bobby also researched different software programs to determine which platform the integrated application will use.
​
Aside from school, Bobby enjoys fashion, exploring new foods and cultures, and visiting new places.
Nubain Soomro
Software/Mechanical Engineer
Nubain was responsible for finding software programs to use in conjunction with the Canine Companion. Furthermore, Nubain helped with the mechanical aspect of the project and ensured that our system would have sufficient torque and power when being built. ​

Outside of school, Nubain enjoys playing basketball, spending time with friends, and watching F1.
